The BOSS 429. This is the Rarest of all Mustangs built. This 1969 Boss 429 is restored in it's original Candy Apple Red body color and smooth as glass. This car was sold new in 1969 to a dealership in Minneapolis, MN. This one has both the Kar Kraft tag and the Shelby tag still on the door. We have two original documents with this car from Shelby to Kar Kraft and then from Kar Kraft to the dealership. Shelby's invoice to Kar Kraft has hand written less motor and trans. Which these were 1969 mustangs that were to be Shelby's but Ford needed them for the Boss 429 project and Shelby sold the cars to Kar Kraft after he removed the motor and trans for them. The KK # is 1611. The history gets lost when you get back to the 3 owner but from what we can tell this car had lost it's original 429 T code motor early with the first or second owner. As any collector understands a Boss has only one original motor so if you don't have it you have a few options and we decided that we were going to take an option most appealing to Boss 429 lovers. As everyone knows the Boss 429 motor was designed and built for NASCAR. The Kings of the Boss 429 NASCAR engine program were HOLMAN and MOODY. Through research we found that back in the day if you lost your original 429 motor or just wanted a real bad drag racer you ordered your replacement from HOLMAN and MOODY. Over the years we have been lucky enough to aquire a real 1969 HOLMAN and MOODY Grand National NASCAR 429. The motor is stamped HM186. I called Lee Holman and asked if he could verify the motor for me and a few days later Lee sent me a letter stating that he found the original Dyno test sheet from 1969 on HM186. The test showed us 586HP and that everything checked out. This motor alone is one awesome piece of Boss 429 history. Now we have rebuilt the motor and have restored every square inch of this beautiful Boss 429 car and under the hood we placed this incredible HOLMAN and MOODY NASCAR 429 motor. Now the BOSS 429 was to be the fastest machine of the day and no one wanted to mess with this beast. But as most know this car was very doggy and didn't run like FORD advertised it to be. Having several other original Boss 9's I can confirm this. But the day we finished this restoration and started this car for the first time I new it was special. This was the car FORD was selling you just couldn't get it from the dealership. Sitting in the seat this BOSS puts a pounding up through the seat and right out through your finger tips.
